Terms of Use

Pelican Benchmark is a community gallery of results from the “pelican riding a bicycle” test. It is run as a personal project. By using this site or submitting a result, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. What this site is, and is not
The gallery includes examples added by this site and results submitted by visitors. We do not independently verify visitor claims about which model produced a result, which prompt was used, or who made it. Treat the gallery as a collection of examples and unverified claims, not as a benchmark, ranking, or measurement.
We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any AI model provider. Model and product names are the trademarks of their respective owners and are used here only to identify what a submitter says produced a result.
2. Submitting a result
By submitting, you confirm that:
- you are the author of the result, or otherwise have the right to submit and publish it;
- the result and everything you type into the form may be shown publicly, including the source code, the prompt, the model name, the generation method, and any optional name, source link, or notes you provide;
- publishing it does not infringe anyone’s copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights, and does not breach any agreement you are bound by, including the terms of the service that generated it;
- you are old enough to enter into these terms where you live.
If your result is published, everything you submit may become public. Do not put account details, API keys, passwords, private conversations, personal information about other people, or anything confidential into any field, including the prompt and the source code.
3. The permission you give us
You keep the copyright in your work. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to host, store, reproduce, and publicly display your submission on this site and on the separate domain where animated results are played, to generate a cover image from it, and to resize or re-encode it as needed to display it. We may also show your submission when we refer to or promote this site — for example a screenshot of the gallery.
We do not claim ownership, sell submissions, license them to third parties, or use them for advertising. If your work is removed from public view, we stop displaying it and using it in new promotion. We may keep a private copy of the source and its record to handle reports and prevent repeat submissions, as described in our Privacy Policy; we do not publish that retained copy.
You may ask us to take your work down at any time by emailing contact@pelicanbenchmark.com with its link. We will remove it from public view. Copies that other people have already made or shared are outside our control.
4. What you may not submit
Do not submit anything that:
- infringes copyright, trademark, or any other right;
- is sexual, hateful, harassing, violent, or discriminatory, or that demeans a person or group;
- identifies or targets a private individual, or exposes someone’s personal data;
- is advertising, promotion, search-engine spam, or a link farm, or that exists mainly to drive traffic somewhere else;
- contains code intended to harm, mislead, or track visitors — including attempts to break out of the sandbox, phishing, cryptocurrency mining, or exfiltrating data;
- is unlawful where you are or where the site is hosted.
5. Publication, screening, and removal
Submissions are checked automatically and published without a person reviewing them first. The automated checks are limited and will miss things. Publication is not approval, and nothing published here is endorsed by us.
We may remove any submission at any time, for any reason, without notice — including results that break these rules, results that no longer render correctly, and duplicates. We may also correct an obviously wrong model name; your original wording is kept in our records. We are not obliged to publish or to keep publishing anything, and we do not promise to keep an archive.
6. Reporting content
To report a submission, request a correction, or make a copyright complaint, email contact@pelicanbenchmark.com. Include the link to the page, what the problem is, and — for a copyright complaint — enough detail to identify the work you own and a way to contact you. We handle reports manually and cannot promise a response time.
7. Viewing animated results
Animated results are code written by other people. They run in a browser sandbox on a separate domain. The sandbox blocks fetch, WebSocket, and similar direct connections, but permits resources such as scripts, styles, fonts, and images from a short list of external hosts. On desktop, an animation loads when you open its result page; on mobile, it loads when you tap Play. The sandbox limits what the code can do but is not a guarantee. You view animated results at your own risk.
8. No warranty, and limits on liability
The site is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We do not promise that it will be available, accurate, or free of errors or harmful content. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site, from content submitted by others, or from content being published, not published, or removed.
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under laws that cannot be waived where you live.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
